How does our process work?

Initial Enquiry
It all starts with an email or phone call with our friendly Admin Team. Simply get in touch 7 days a week.
If you are looking for private one-to-one lessons, one of our admins (who are themselves tutors with outstanding academic credentials) will handle your enquiry.
If you have a more bespoke request (for example, residential tutoring, homeschooling, or requests from schools or charities), we will connect you with a senior team member who specialises in that area.

Matching
Unlike many websites where you need to do the legwork contacting and interviewing tutors, we take care of everything. You will only pay if you go ahead with a tutor we suggest.
We personally go through our books contacting tutors to determine their suitability for your particular request. Our experienced team knows how to narrow the search down to the tutors with the right academic background and tutoring experience for your needs. They will also take into account your availability, location, budget and the best personality fit for the student.

Shortlist
We will send you a selection of tutor profiles which we feel are the best fit for your requirements.
We will let you know the tutors' academic grades, relevant teaching experience, price, and feedback from previous students and parents. We will also include notes from our experienced assessors, who watch the tutors teach a demo lesson in our selective assessment process.
You can then choose a tutor to go ahead with, or ask to see further profiles. Some clients like to have a quick chat with the tutor before they book a lesson.

First Lesson
Clients book an initial session with their chosen tutor to see if they will be a good fit. Some tutors may suggest a brief phone call with the student before the first lesson so that they can hit the ground running.
During the first lesson, the tutor will spend some time getting to know the student, as well as assessing their current level, determining their unique needs and goals, and coming up with a plan for future sessions. They will also undertake some initial subject teaching.

Feedback
We will contact you after the first lesson to check that everything went well. In the vast majority of cases, clients are delighted and want to continue.
In the very small number of cases where a client is unsure, they are not under any obligation to continue with further lessons. We can easily arrange for clients to stop lessons or to try a lesson with a different tutor at any time.

Reports
Tutors submit a report after each session which is shared with the client and/or student.

Reports are one convenient way for tutors to keep clients updated on the student's progress and next steps.
